Our goal is to reduce the amount of raw materials used and emissions
generated in the manufacturing process.
Knoll manufacturing facilities employ the following:
- No ozone–destroying chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
- Metal powder–coating processes 99% VOC free
- Wood powder–coating processes 99% VOC free
- Virtually all adhesives water based or hot melt: virtually VOC free
- UV–cured polyurethane wood coating process VOC free
- Wood painting processes use low or VOC–free paints and lacquers
- Fluidized–bed paint hook stripping eliminates VOCs and hazardous waste
