We maintain energy conservation by reducing the use of non–renewable energy sources and conserving renewable resources.
Some of the programs implemented to achieve this objective are:
- Green Lights Program: high–efficiency lighting installed in large segments in all facilities. Program is ongoing
- Re–circulating heat: air cleaning devices return heated air to plants
- Computer–assisted energy management systems maximize efficiency of HVAC and lighting
- High–efficiency motors installed in most existing equipment
- All new equipment meets stringent energy–efficiency guidelines
- Sawdust collected and used as heating fuel (790 tons per year)
