International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 14000.
- ISO 14000 is an important mark of commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
- Knoll North America facilities are ISO 14001–certified: Grand Rapids, Muskegon, East Greenville and Toronto.
A family of international generic management system standards concerned with
environmental management, set by the International Organization for
Standardization(ISO), a federation of national standards bodies from more
than 140 countries. ISO 14001 is primarily concerned with what an
organization does to control and improve the impact of its activities on the
environment. ISO offers standards for products, services, systems,
processes and materials, and offers standards and guides for conformity
assessment activities to ascertain whether or not requirements are being
met. ISO itself does not perform certification and registration. However,
its standards and guides harmonize conformity assessments performed by third
party certifiers worldwide.
