ARO and Knoll Host New York Showroom Tours During Open House New York Weekend

October 20, 2014

As part of the 12th annual Open House New York Weekend, Knoll opened its New York City flagship showroom for tours on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Architecture Research Office (ARO), designers of the Knoll New York and Knoll San Francisco showrooms, showed visitors around the three-story working showroom and ground floor Knoll Home Design Shop.

The Knoll New York Showroom opened in May 2013. Its design reflects Knoll Research insights and findings based on customer experiences and incorporates current workplace planning trends, including height-adjustable workstations, benching, Activity Spaces, private offices, ergonomic seating and desktop accessories. Vibrant textiles from Spinneybeck®, FlixFelt® and KnollTextiles draw visitors through the space.

Open House New York Weekend unlocked the doors to over 300 sites across New York City. Open House New York promotes a greater appreciation of the city’s built environment; broadens public awareness by exposing diverse audiences to distinctive examples of architecture, engineering and design; educates and inspires discussion of issues of excellence in design, planning and preservation; and showcases outstanding new work as well as structures of historic merit.
