Delos Presents the WELL Building Standard® at Knoll New York

Natasha Franck, Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, Delos, led an accredited CEU discussion about the WELL Building Standard® in the Knoll New York Showroom on March 23, 2016. The presentation introduced an estimated 30 industry professionals to the certification framework. Founded by Delos, the WELL Building Standard draws a direct connection between human health and comfort and the built environment, placing wellbeing at the forefront of building practices.

The WELL Building Standard is the world's first building standard with an exclusive focus on human health and wellbeing. The standard is grounded in a body of medical research that explores the connection between the built environment and the health and wellness of building occupants. Seven categories—Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort and Mind—structure the WELL Building Standard performance requirements. WELL Certified™ spaces receive a score in each of the seven categories, which in turn determines if a project is Silver, Gold or Platinium. Like its predecessor LEED, the standard is third-party certified by Green Business Certification Inc.

The WELL Building Standard is administered by the International WELL Building Institute, launched by Delos in 2013 following a Clinton Global Intiative commitment by Delos founder Paul Scialla.
