Global Financial Institution

This Global Financial Institution inhabited for years a corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, that had not been updated since the late 1980s. Working with Knoll and architecture firm Perkins+Will to modernize its headquarters, the Company aspired to create a workplace that is not only beautiful but also representative of its attitude towards the environment. Admired by employees and outsiders alike, the Company recently achieved LEED® Gold certification for the initial stages of the project. This was achieved using a combination of sustainable workplace furnishings by Knoll, including the distinctively modern AutoStrada® office system.

The most comprehensive office system designed by Knoll, AutoStrada features four unique planning models that integrate high-performance capabilities with modern detail. AS-1 spinebased planning features low panels to provide workstations with ample daylight and views. Also included are ergonomic Life® task chairs, Saarinen Executive Chairs by KnollStudio® and Calibre® storage. AS-3 wall-based planning integrates freestanding desks, tables and wallattached storage to build distinctive private offices. All furniture and textiles are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® and manufactured with FSC core materials where applicable.
