KnollTextiles Launches The Outbound Collection

New York, NY – KnollTextiles has launched Outbound, an eclectic collection of five upholsteries and one drapery. The versatile collection, which includes fabrics in velvet, chenille, and indoor/outdoor options, carries forward the KnollTextiles tradition of uncompromising beauty, quality and performance. Aesthetically diverse, the mix of solid-color classics and playful multi-toned patterns , and the range of neutrals as well as bold fashion-driven hues, combine to make Outbound the choice for multiple disciplines and market segments. The collection has been designed for high durability and easy maintenance.

The collection includes three distinct, plush-textured upholsteries, at three price ranges. Summit from the KT Line offers affordable modern design; Woodland is a textured chenille, and Firefly is a patterned cut velvet.

For outdoor applications, Dune and Island – both Sunbrella® upholsteries – provide exceptional UV performance, bleach cleaning and a soft hand. Dune and Island are treated with Sunbrella’s propri­etary Defiance Finish, which provides both antimicrobial and antifungal protection in a single solution.

Rounding out the collection, Savannah is a drapery fabric with a dry hand in a classic color palette.

 

Summit is a KT Line foundation upholstery with a high end look at an affordable price. Summit has a slight allover texture and a soft hand. Of note is that KnollTextiles introduced a deep forest green called Range to the line.

Woodland uses two tones to create an allover or small-scale organic pattern, weaving colors on a neutral base. The upholstery is equally suited for hospitality, corporate and healthcare interi­ors. It stands on its own or compliments other upholsteries. The palette ranges from subtle to high-contrast combinations. Woodland is bleach cleanable and high-durability with 100k+ double rubs and made in the USA.

Firefly is a jacquard cut velvet upholstery with a bold, playful, nature-inspired pattern and luxurious soft hand. The mid- to large-scale pattern is offered in a distinct palette: seven color options ranging from classic warm or cool neutrals to unexpected color combinations. Firefly is as strong as it is beautiful, with over 100,000 double rubs Wyzenbeek.

Indoor/ Outdoor Upholstery

Dune is an indoor/outdoor fabric made with Sunbrella® yarn. It is an easy to use subtle allover tex­ture with a dry hand. Being bleach cleanable, Dune is an excellent choice for all commercial environments and the recycled content makes it a nice environmental choice.

About KnollTextiles

KnollTextiles is under the creative direction of Dorothy Cosonas, who combines clean, clear color with modern, elegant patterns and textures. In 2005 Cosonas was named the 11th Creative Director of KnollTextiles. Her inaugural collection won a Best of NeoCon Gold award – her first of seven along with six Silver awards for Knoll. In 2008, she founded Knoll Luxe, the fashion-forward luxury component of KnollTextiles, where she has contributed her own designs along with collaborations with renowned fashion designers such as Proenza Schouler, Rodarte and Maria Cornejo. Her work was a major part of a KnollTextiles 2011 retrospective exhibition at the Bard Graduate Center and has been accepted into the permanent collection of Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian National Design Museum.
