The Lawrence Group

Time had weathered one of downtown St. Louis’ most historic buildings, and a new name was about to make big changes. In 1993, the Lawrence Group, which provides architectural, interior design and town planning services worldwide, bought the 111-year old Security Building. The Group selected this site, which has great views of Eero Saarinen's Gateway Arch, as its headquarters. Upon completing a renovation in 2007, the Security Building received LEED® Silver certification.

The Group selected the Knoll AutoStrada® office system for its open plan workstations, studio areas and meeting rooms. AutoStrada® AS-2 storage-anchored planning defines workplace boundaries with efficient storage in an open office landscape. Calibre® storage towers with 3/10/10 drawers provide users with an efficient use of personal space. A storage island with Calibre® bookcases and files and a continuous AutoStrada worksurface offers space to draft plans or blueprints. A Twist barstool by KnollStudio® is featured here as well. In a small meeting room the Lawrence Group works on an AutoStrada® table and Sprite stacking chairs by Ross Lovegrove.
