MODA Presents The Furniture of Eero Saarinen: Designs for Everyday Living
February 1, 2008
The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA), a Smithsonian Affiliate, is presenting the first exhibition devoted solely to the furniture of Eero Saarinen, titled The Furniture of Eero Saarinen: Designs for Every Living.

Brian Lutz, a writer whose monograph on the modern master's furniture is expected to be published by Yale University Press next year, consulted with MODA on the exhibition.

Brian is the author of the chapter on Saarinen furniture for the exhibition catalogue, Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future. This exhibition is now on view at the Cranbrook Museum of Art; Knoll is a local sponsor of the exhibition at Cranbrook.

The MODA exhibition includes archival pieces from the Knoll Museum in East Greenville, PA, and the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI, as well as furniture currently in production by Knoll. Knoll is a sponsor of the MODA installation in Atlanta.
