Knoll debuted as one of the 50 Best U.S. Manufacturing Companies in the June 2009 issue of IndustryWeek, a management resource magazine featuring articles and columns oriented to manufacturing business issues.
In order to qualify the top performing manufacturers, IndustryWeek factored revenue growth and profit margins over the past three years with 2008 results weighted most heavily. Three-year performance in four other financial ratios—inventory turns, asset turnover, return on assets and return on equity—were also considered.
