Knoll associates, including LEED® Accredited A&D Managers, extend the Knoll founding precept of collaborating with the architectural and design community on workplace design.

Knoll A&D Managers can help educate architects, designers and their clients about:

• The Knoll Design Heritage. We believe that furniture can celebrate both function and form, and that products should be manufactured to weather the test of time. They can also explain that our commitment to innovation is matched with a belief in sustainable design.

Our research activities include independent field studies; collaborations with customers, universities and industry associations; and ongoing dialogue with experts from the fields of technology, architecture, design, organizational behavior, psychology and business management.
• The Knoll Dedication to Sustainable Design. Knoll is a leader in policies and practices designed to protect the biosphere, conserve natural resources and reduce waste. We are committed to helping safeguard all natural habitats and local communities affected by our operations. We strive to make the most efficient and responsible use of renewable resources, including water, soil and forests, and to conserve natural resources, and we are pioneers in Clean Technology. We reach out and align with third party certification organizations, including GREENGUARD™, LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) that share our commitment to sustainability. In fact, Knoll helped Air Quality Sciences develop the furniture model used for testing environmental performance and was among the first companies in the industry to submit products for GREENGUARD certification. Our product designers are engaged in a continuous program of research and design, experimenting with new materials and new uses for existing materials.
