When Accela relocated to its new corporate headquarters in San Ramon, California, the company worked with David Howard of Huntsman Architectural Group, dealer RDI and Knoll to create a range of spaces within the office to support different workstyles. Accela, a distributor of a leading engagement platform that powers thousands of services and millions of transactions daily for public agencies worldwide, furnished its 18,500 square foot space, including over 75 workstations, 18 private offices and a multitude of activity spaces, with a range of Knoll Office, KnollStudio and KnollExtra products.
A blend of AutoStrada® Spine Wall with Reff Profiles® storage and worksurfaces in the open plan office balances efficiency and aesthetic. Primary workstations are supplemented by a range of Activity Spaces to support collaboration. Jehs+Laub Lounge seating allows users to work on mobile devices and lap tops while recharging at the power-enabled Power Cube. The reception area, featuring a Reff Profiles® administration desk, D’Urso Swivel Chairs and Platner Coffee Tables, creates a welcoming environment for clients. Reff Profiles® private offices offer planning flexibility to create spaces that support both individual tasks and small group meetings. Divina Sofas and Lounge Chairs are paired with Krusin Side and Coffee Tables to create informal meeting spaces in executive offices. Generation by Knoll® seating is featured in open plan and private offices throughout the space while conference rooms feature ReGenerationby Knoll®. Bertoia Diamond Chairs and Suzanne Sofas positioned around Power Cube in open community spaces support small group meetings while the cafe features Dividends Horizon® Tables and Gigi® Side Chairs and Barstools.
