DART Central Station

When the administrative offices of DART Central Station relocated to a state-of-the-art facility in Des Moines, Iowa, the organization worked with Knoll and dealer Saxton, Inc., leveraging a contract with US Communities, to select progressive furnishings for its new facility designed by Substance Architecture. The new LEED® Platinum facility features 30 open plan workstations and 25 private offices and is designed to emphasize safety, customer service and environmental stewardship. It is a vital improvement to the public transit system, but also as an important component in the revitalization of the downtown area.

For its open plan office, DART selected Antenna® Workspaces with Template™, which uses storage elements to support workstations on either side of the storage wall. Reff Profiles® in private offices delivers a progressive and efficient architectural presence while Antenna® Workspaces private offices create highly effective shared or focused work areas. Saarinen Executive Chairs offer guest seating in private offices throughout.

DART's training room features MultiGeneration by Knoll® chairs and Propeller® Tables, creating a dynamic training and group meeting environment. Generation by Knoll®, the ergonomic task chair that supports freedom of movement, is featured in open plan and private offices throughout the space.
