David Adjaye designs for Knoll were featured in Salon 94's gallery at EXPO CHICAGO, which took place September 17 – 20. The Washington Skeleton™ Aluminum Side Chair in copper and Prism™, Adjaye's latest furniture collection for Knoll, accompanied works by Salon 94-represented artists, including Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri, pictured. In addition to Adjaye's furniture, Salon 94 also exhibited Harare, a wallcovering in The Adjaye Collection.
Salon 94, a New York City gallery, was among some 140 leading galleries that presented artwork at EXPO CHICAGO this year. Now in its fourth year, EXPO CHICAGO is an exposition of contemporary and modern art from around the world that opens Chicago's fall art season.
Adjaye's presence at the Salon 94 gallery was concurrent with the opening of a major exhibition of his architectural, furniture and urban-scale work at the Art Institute of Chicago. That exhibition runs through January 6, 2016.
