Knoll Luxe opens its second and third residential showrooms at the Pacific Design Center located at 8687 Melrose Avenue, suite B117 in West Hollywood and in Chicago at the Merchandise Mart, Suite 629-A. Featured in both showrooms will be the entire Knoll Luxe collection and selections from its sibling brand, KnollTextiles, both divisions of Knoll, Inc. Knoll Luxe opened its first showroom in New York at the D&D building in 2010.
KnollTextiles was created in 1947 by Florence Knoll Bassett, who is considered by many to be the founder of modern textiles in America. Throughout its 65+ year-history, KnollTextiles has collaborated with many artists and fashion designers to create collections that have furnished some of the most prestigious interiors globally. Florence Knoll’s aesthetic continues to inspire many of the design directions taken by the current creative director for Knoll Luxe and KnollTextiles, Dorothy Cosonas.
In 2007, Cosonas headed up the launch of Knoll Luxe, a higher end brand of upholstery and drapery fabrics allowing her to explore more luxurious fibers and a residential palette. Under this umbrella, she has created several collections inspired by her love of art, architecture and fashion including collaborations with Proenza Schouler in 2008, and Rodarte in 2010.
The Los Angeles showroom will be managed by Ewa Evans, who brings 20 years of experience in the textile industry to Knoll Luxe. Evans spent nine years at Kneedler Fauchère (seven of which as Lead Textile Specialist), and most recently she was at Thomas Lavin.
Heidi Neri is the showroom manager in Chicago. Neri was previously the showroom manager at Innovations in Wallcovering in New York. She also spent seven years working in sales at the Donghia showroom.
