Lance Armstrong Foundation

Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist, Lance Armstrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation is a non-profit organization that inspires and empowers people affected by cancer.

When the Lance Armstrong Foundation decided to move its headquarters to a paper warehouse built in the 1950's, it laid out a long list of objectives, balancing volunteer attraction, employee retention and branding with the highest standards of sustainable architecture and design.

Two prominent Central Texas design firms worked with Knoll to realize the Foundation's unique vision: a space where private spaces built from reclaimed timbers blended with modular furniture in a pure, modern dialogue.

From the SMaRT© Sustainable Gold Rated Life® chairs and GREENGUARD Certified AutoStrada® workstations, to the reclaimed concrete benches, the Lance Armstrong Foundation headquarters in Austin, Texas is a hallmark of effective design.
