The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the construction of buildings that are environmentally responsible and healthy places to live and work. For the organization's new headquarters in Washington, DC, materials were chosen both for their aesthetic contribution and their green attributes, and in February 2007, the office suite earned LEED® Platinum Commercial Interiors certification, underscoring the USGBC commitment to sustainable building innovations. Certification was made possible in part by The Graham Collection® in three private offices. Knoll is an innovator in the use of recycled materials and certified and renewable resources. With a focus on material sustainability and GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®,
The Graham Collection can help companies, healthcare organizations and educational institutions achieve LEED workplace certification, while upholding the Knoll legacy of manufacturing beautifully designed and executed wood furniture for the private office. A conference area at the USGBC features a GREENGUARD-certified Florence Knoll table desk by KnollStudio® with Chadwick® task chairs.
