Inspired by M.C. Escher, the SM Table features a continuously looping base with no apparent beginning or end. The dynamic frame supports a floating top, evoking notes of Mies and Florence.

Construction and Details
  • Top options include clear glass, painted white Starphire glass, and natural slate
  • Clear glass and white painted Starphire glass are ¾” thick with a 1/8” wide bevel
  • Natural cleft slate is ¾” thick with beveled edge
  • Tops rest on four transparent silicon spacers on top of the base
  • Base available in white or stainless steel finish
  • White bases are coated in a tough, abrasion-resistant Rilsan® finish
  • Polished bases are stainless steel, hand buffed to a mirror finish
  • Base is constructed of seamless stainless steel which is ground for a continuous appearance

Shelton, Mindel & Associates is an architectural firm, established in 1978, providing complete architectural, interiors and product design services for corporate, cultural, academic, retail, recreational, hospitality, and residential clients.

Peter Shelton studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and Pratt Institute where he received his degree in 1975. He worked for the New York firms of Edward Durrell Stone & Associates and Emery Roth & Sons prior to his founding Shelton, Mindel & Associates.

Lee Mindel received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1976 after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Architecture, at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the New York architecture firms of Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill and Rogers, Butler, Burgun.
