Knoll presents new collections and iconic products in its Paris Showroom in occasion of Maison&Objet 2023

During Maison&Objet, Knoll presents new collections by Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni in the company’s historic Paris showroom in Boulevard St Germain.

For this occasion and in keeping with its long-standing philosophy of ‘Modern Always’, Knoll unveils a display dedicated to the latest new products alongside classic pieces by architects of the calibre of Florence Knoll, Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia and Marcel Breuer. 
The window display features the collection of tables and consoles designed by Antonio Citterio which stand out for their modern eclectic style, and sit perfectly alongside Knoll classics like the famous Tulip Chairs, the iconic Barcelona Daybed, the sculptural Bertoia High Back Chair and the more recent Red Baron modular bookshelf. 
The concept of the space is a stream of products alternating classic and contemporary pieces, as well as the latest creations by Piero Lissoni like the multifunctional Panoramic Sofa and the family of Matic Credenzas. Rounding off the offering, the new Klismos by Knoll seating by Antonio Citterio offers a clear reference to tradition and classical design thanks to an original combination of materials and dynamic forms. 
A design journey that explores different ages, suggesting multiple approaches for creating interiors that epitomise a contemporary lifestyle.

Table Collection
Designed by Antonio Citterio

A collection composed of a series of tables and consoles with ample, carefully gauged proportions. The geometric simplicity combined with the linear forms of the various rectangular or rounded tops is accompanied by an essential metal structure that epitomizes the motto of Mies van der Rohe: “Less is More.” The legs are in steel tubing, with black or metal finish, while the dual support structure and large tops in marble or black glass convey a gentler idea of contemporary Art Deco.

Klismos by Knoll

The Klismos by Knoll seating family represents the memory of an icon of classical Greek culture, the chair “κλισμός,” and, at the same time, is a clear reference to the chair designed by Robsjohn-Gibbings in the ’30s, a reproduction of the Hellenic chair. A modern take on a classic which Antonio Citterio proposes in a version with seats and backs in natural cotton cord woven on an oak wood structure. There is also a variation with a wooden back, available in a natural color or in black. Elegant optional leather cushions can be placed on the seat for greater comfort.

Panoramic Sofa

A new multifunctional sofa with fluid lines, ready to change in relation to the space in which it is inserted, but always with the same comfort and elegance. Panoramic Sofa stands out for its ability to transform. It can be arranged vis-à-vis, as a super chaise longue, an island, a bench, a daybed or – of course – an enticing sofa. Thanks to the three mobile backs, which can move from a relaxed lounging position to an angle better suited to conversation - resting the parts on a tubular steel structure painted in charcoal or with a glossy finish. The covering is in fabric or leather. The cushions round out the collection, offering moments of absolute relaxation. A balanced game of symmetry and volumes, ideal of a living area in constant evolution, ready to respond to the needs of the moment.

Matic Credenzas

A family of credenzas with a clean, rigorous aesthetic completes the Matic system of modular sofas designed by Piero Lissoni in 2020. A superbly versatile design idea that combines the material essence of a wooden structure with marble tops, permitting multiple usage scenarios. 
Clean, rigorous volumes are combined with materials of the highest quality, creating a harmonious dialogue between form and materials that guarantees functionality coupled with a refined aesthetic. All the pieces are available with an external structure in three colors – teal, charcoal and light grey – joined by tops in Grey, Statuarietto or Marquina marble. A collection of architectural presences featuring precise workmanship at the highest levels of technology and quality, values that have always been cornerstones of Knoll’s character.

Levanto Marble 

For over 60 years, starting from the "Pedestal" collection by Eero Saarinen, Knoll has proposed a range of the finest marbles.
In addition to new products, Knoll expands its marble offering with a new finish in green Levanto marble. The new Levanto marble is characterised by an intense dark green background with burgundy/dark red veining and random light coloured veining.
