Located at the corner of 17th and Connecticut Streets in the heart of the city’s burgeoning design district in Potrero Hill, this light-filled, spacious DWR Studio ushers in an exciting new store experience. A rotating Gallery space, “Case Study” apartment, and Reform Kitchens will join a wide array of living spaces showcasing the breadth of our furniture and accessories for every room, including a furnished outdoor space. “Walking through this Studio is like reading a love letter to San Francisco – the birthplace of Design Within Reach,” says Omar Nobil, VP of Brand Creative at DWR. “The space pays homage to the city’s legacy of tastemaking while looking toward the future, highlighting artists and brands who are essential to modern design.” Rotating galleries showcase interactive exhibits, special partnerships, new launches, and exclusive collaborations, helping to foster a sense of community and connectedness.

This 15,000-square-foot 1920s warehouse was gut-renovated to honor its industrial roots while transforming the space into a dynamic new Studio. Original timber and skylights line the ceiling, while glass brick walls and steel windows and doors embrace the utilitarian aesthetic of the original building and surrounding neighborhood.

Complimentary Design Services, from space planning to state-of-the-art 3-D renderings, both in-store and in-home, are offered by our team of talented and experienced Account Executives.
