Details
Architect Florence Knoll created what she modestly referred to as the “fill-in pieces that no one else wants to do,” but her spare, geometric Credenza Collection, like so many of her designs, soon became the gold standard for the industry. Designed to furnish the office interiors of postwar America, this 1961 collection is a scaled-down translation of the lines, gestures, and materials of modern architecture.
  • Small: two cabinets with two adjustable shelves for use in one or both cabinets.
  • Large, Four Cabinet: four cabinets with four adjustable shelves for use in two or more cabinets.
  • Large, Mixed Storage: four drawers with removable partitions, one full-extension file drawer, two cabinets with two adjustable shelves for use in one or both cabinets.
  • High: two adjustable shelves that span the full width of the cabinet.
  • Installation of wall anchoring / anti-tip hardware is the responsibility of the customer.
  • An Original Florence Knoll Design: The frame is stamped with the Knoll logo and designer’s signature ensuring lifetime authentication.

Trained as an architect, Florence Knoll counted Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe among her many friends and trusted mentors. In 1941 she met Hans Knoll and the pair—armed with Florence’s design skills and Hans’ salesmanship—grew a budding company into an international arbiter of design and defined the standard for the modern interiors of post-war America.
