Los Angeles
Home Design Shop
Goes Neutral

New Design Showcases Dimensionality Through Texture and Rich Materiality

Knoll has debuted its redesigned Home Design Shop in Los Angeles, once again prompting interior designers and design enthusiasts to reimagine modern living for residential interiors. The light-filled spaces, which showcase settings for contemporary living, are marked by an elevated simplicity, combining a neutral palette with elements evocative of nature—from mossy-hued upholsteries to citron-toned accents.

Commenting on the new direction, Knoll Design Director Benjamin Pardo said, “Our retail shops continue to reinterpret what it means to be Modern today, providing timeless inspiration for design enthusiasts and interiors professionals. Vignettes for living, dining and outdoor life reveal there’s truly something Modern for everyone at Knoll.”

The result is a study in design purity, showcasing dimensionality through texture and allowing rich materiality to sing—marble, steel and wood in addition to a range of Spinneybeck leather and KnollTextiles upholstery. Juxtaposing pieces by the mid-century Modern masters and leading contemporary talents, the Home Design Shops showcase furniture by Florence Knoll, Eero Saarinen, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Harry Bertoia, Warren Platner, Richard Schultz, David Adjaye, Barber Osgerby, Piero Lissoni, Marc Krusin, Frank Gehry and more.

Additionally, the Los Angeles Home Design Shop features new finishes and reintroduced designs from the Brand’s over-eighty-year archive. The Platner Collection and Washington Corona Coffee Table by David Adjaye now both are available with a white-coated finish. The Jumbo Table—a monumental marble coffee table designed by the famed architect Gae Aulenti for Knoll in 1972—has also been reintroduced.

Altogether, the Los Angeles Home Design Shop prompts interior designers and design enthusiasts to once again reimagine Modern living, placing the Company's iconic pieces in a new light that allows texture and materiality to shine in fresh and inviting ways.
