The New York Times features Knoll 1966 Outdoor Dining TableAs the workplace becomes more flexible and open-planned in response to the shrinking square-footage of corporate offices, companies are having to re-think their office's layout in order to maximize productivity and transitively drive revenue. The latest planning solution from Knoll, Immersive planning, blurs the boundaries between work, life, and play. Workstyles have shifted from having a linear and hierarchical structure to having a complex, networked structure. Immersive planning creates a space that embraces a more complex social structure by offering versatile breakout rooms, benching that can be communal or private, mobile storage, and open conference rooms. All of this is also tied up in a new way of thinking about technology integration. Wireless, cloud-based servers, and mobile laptop docks have all become essential tools to facilitate the new generation's primary way of working: mobile. Knoll's latest collection of workplace furniture, Rockwell Unscripted, provides the tools that, when combined, create a truly, unique Immersive experience.
