Knoll Classics from Eero Saarinen and Harry Bertoia are featured in the March 2015 Interiors We Love issue of Dwell magazine. The Saarinen Dining Table selected for the “live-work space” of property developer Frank Nederhof, doubles as a dining table in the home’s “flexible office area.”
“The space is oriented so clients can enter the office without traipsing through the entire flat,” writes Anna Lambert of Dwell.
On Fire Island in New York, a New York City couple turned an “architecturally undistinguished wooden cabin that was built sometime in the 1950s” with the help of interior designer Alexandra Angle.
Bright accent colors, including yellow seat pads for Bertoia Side Chairs in the family’s dining room, is the home’s “not-so-secret weapon.”
A Saarinen Tulip Chair, another iconic piece from Knoll, is featured in an Indian Wells, California vacation home. The Tulip Chair features a bright red seat pad, lending a splash of color to a minimalist guest room.
In Portland, Oregon a 1950s home features a time-tested pairing of a Bertoia Bird Chair with a Saarinen Side Table. “Our goal was to look as if we hadn’t done anything, to be authentic to the era of the house,” noted designer Jesssica Helgerson.
