Knoll Philadelphia Showroom

In early March 2007, thirty Knoll sales associates relocated to a new Philadelphia showroom with soaring windows, high ceilings and a grand view of downtown. A few months later, the showroom earned LEED® Silver certification for Commercial Interiors by the U.S. Green Building Council, the nation’s foremost coalition of building industry leaders working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible and healthy places to live and work. The new 11,633 square-foot showroom is the third Knoll facility to receive LEED certification and underscores the Knoll commitment to creating sustainable environments for today's workforce.

The LEED certified showroom incorporates a number of environmentally-friendly design elements, including: maximumized use of natural light and, where necessary, fluorescent fixtures with optimized energy performance; carpeted floors with a backing that contains 76% post-consumer materials; Eco-Spec paint low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs); KnollTextiles wallcoverings with high recycled content; Energy Star rated appliances; Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood on Knoll workstations; GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality certified furnishings and textiles; and recycled building materials.
