Tips for a Healthy Remote Work Experience – September 24, 11:00am EST

On Thursday, September 24th at 11:00am EST, Kimberly Smith will instruct the class “Tips for a Healthy Remote Work Experience” in Perks at Work’s Community Online Academy program. In the session, Kimberly will discuss practical ways to optimize your work-from-home or learn-from-home experience to promote better physical and mental wellbeing. The Community Online Academy offers free online classes every Thursday for children and adults on topics ranging from robotics to improving leadership skills.

TALK: The Future of Work – September 25, 2:00pm EST

The Los Angeles Design Festival, taking place September 24 – 27, is a celebration of L.A’s design culture and generally includes workshops, tours, talks, and social events. This year, the Festival goes virtual, with over 50 online events ranging from a virtual tour of a 3D printed pop-up tiny house to a talk about uncovering a Black aesthetic. On Friday, September 25, at 2:00pm EST, Tracy Wymer, Vice President Workplace, will speak on the panel, “TALK: The Future of Work”. Tracy, with the other panelists, will explore the interdisciplinary future of work, from architecture to upholstery.

On Wednesday, September 30, at 1:00pm EST and 1:00pm MST join a virtual conversation with Carl Gustav Magnusson, as he discusses his background of working with Ray and Charles Eames, his three-decades-long role as Director of Design with Knoll, and his award-winning work under his namesake design studio including his recent introduction of Silent-Silo with Spinneybeck | FilzFelt.

Extremely Quiet or Incredibly Loud: Solving for the Sound U/X in the Changing Workplace – November 10, 11:30am EST

With success of the Knoll k. talk “Extremely Quiet or Incredibly Loud: Solving for the Sound U/X in the Changing Workplace” in August, Knoll will be revisiting the conversation between Victoria Cerami, CEO of Cerami Associates, an acoustic design and technology consulting company, and Kimberly Smith, Senior Director of Workplace Strategy at Knoll, regarding the acoustic changes of the future office. A new live version of the talk will be part of Workplace Week International: A Virtual Festival of Workplace Science and Innovation, and take place on November 10th at 11:30am EST.
