New York, NY – KnollTextiles is excited to introduce to the Montage Collection. The name Montage refers to a film industry term describing the process of selecting, editing, and piecing together separate images to create a continuous whole. Our Montage Collection collages new and existing designs to form a fresh expression for today's market.
“The extended color lines of three popular upholsteries result from a careful study of nature, art and fashion in addition to market and trend research.
Knoll Luxe North Island, now suitable for contract use at 50,000 double rubs, has five additional colors (12 total) with a new lower price. The groundbreaking Knoll Luxe Arezzo adds three new hues (7 total). KnollTextiles Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas design both North Island and Arezzo. Best selling Chiseled upholstery also has three additional colors (8 total).
Shadow Play and Looped In are two exciting all-new upholstery offerings. Shadow Play is a mid-scale geometric pattern that is KnollTextiles' first bleach cleanable, biodegradable upholstery and wrapped panel fabric woven with CLEAN IMPACT TEXTILES™ 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Biodegradable Polyester.* Shadow Play also boasts an affordable price point at $36 per yard. Looped In is a stunning all-over multicolor textured upholstery. The mixture of yarns creates a beautiful study of how color values and tones mix to create surface interest, dimension and texture.
On the vertical side, Beeline drapery is reminiscent of tech-inspired sportswear with knitted small honeycomb-shaped netting. Beeline is also budget-friendly at $15 per yard. Plus One is KnollTextiles' first multicolored woven wallcovering. The interplay of seven different yarn colors per colorway yields refreshing and novel color combinations. It is unique to the market and made in the USA.
The Montage Collection offers surface interest, depth, texture and tactility connected through a cohesive color language. Prices range from $15 - $190 per yard.
North Island K1159
Designed by KnollTextiles Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas, North Island was part of the first Knoll Luxe launch in 2008. A small textile swatch from the museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology's permanent collection served as inspiration for the upholstery.
This luxurious and sumptuous all-over textured classic Luxe upholstery has five new colors for a total of twelve. North Island's locally sourced 98% wool content is rapidly renewable and biodegradable. Spinning, dyeing, and weaving are all performed at the mill, giving North Island a notable sustainable story.
In addition to having new colors, improvements to brush pill and abrasion results bring North Island to a large A for commercial use. And North Island has a reduced price at $190 per yard.
Arezzo K1442
Designed by KnollTextiles Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas, Arezzo first launched in 2014. The inspiration for Arezzo came from one of Dorothy's favorite fashion designers, the late Alexander McQueen whose work fused art and fashion.
Arezzo is the result of both man and machine. The velvet ground is bunched up by hand with high and low peaks before running under high-pressure jets that randomly spray four preselected color inks that speak to each other and blend in value and weight.
The result is entirely refreshing and organic – where no two yards are alike.
Chiseled K2249
First launched in 2018, Chiseled embraces the deconstruction of something old to recreate something new that is also timeless.
This concept relates not only to the inspiration but also the way that Chiseled is made. Old-world Italian screen-printing techniques were applied to a 100% polyester ground making Chiseled durable but with a deconstructed appearance.
The result is entirely refreshing and organic – where no two yards are alike.
Looped In K2390
Looped In is a stunning all-over multicolor textured upholstery. The interaction of a solid-colored yarn in the warp combined with a cotton binder yarn, a multicolored high twist yarn and heavy boucle yarn in the weft creates a beautiful study of how color values and tones mix to create surface interest, dimension and texture.
The multicolor high twist yarn peeks through the ground for even more depth and visual appeal. Looped In can be appreciated from a distance while revealing hints of color upon closer viewing.
Shadow Play K2398
Shadow Play is a mid-scale geometric pattern that is KnollTextiles' first bleach cleanable, biodegradable upholstery and wrapped panel fabric woven with CLEAN IMPACT TEXTILES™ 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Biodegradable Polyester.*
Matelassé construction gives the pattern depth and texture. The two-layered pocket weave with an added stuffer pick gives Shadow Play its pleated and quilt-like appearance. A diagonal tie-down stitch ever so slightly softens the overall structured pattern.
Beyond its environmental attributes, Shadow Play is also highly durable, bleach cleanable and acoustically neutral when used for wrapped panel application.
*91% biodegradation in 1,278 days under ASTM D5511 conditions. No evidence of further degradation. See knolltextiles.com for extended claim.
Beeline D2396
Beeline is reminiscent of tech-inspired sportswear. This warp knitted small honeycomb-shaped netting evokes a casual-cool yet sophisticated look appropriate for hospitality, corporate, education and retail use.
Plus One WC2403
Plus One is KnollTextiles' first multicolored woven wallcovering. Woven on a double beam custom warp setup created explicitly for each colorway of Plus One, this construction creates dimension by using slub novelty yarns in the warp and weft. The yarn appears to float on top of the surface even though it is securely woven to the ground.
The playful intersection of the seven different yarn colors within each colorway and the clarity of color from this custom warp setup yields refreshing and novel color combinations unexpected for a woven wallcovering.
Made in the USA.
