The Buccini/Pollin Group

When real estate developer The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG) built itself a new steel and glass corporate headquarters in Wilmington, DE, the company needed office furniture that would match the building's sleek aesthetic and, in addition, be cost effective. Consisting of a three-story office segment connected by an enclosed glass bridge to a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for an affiliated metal company, the building has a unique industrial look.

BPG worked with Knoll to select an office system, Dividends Horizon®, that not only complements the architecture of the space but also meets the project's strict budgetary requirements. Focusing on the artful contrast of structure and materials, Dividends Horizon offers pragmatic new planning and aesthetic opportunities for individual and linked workstations, using new furniture elements that reflect contemporary work styles.

For this project, BPG selected a finish palette that would integrate with the industrial look of the interior. This included the use of perforated metal panels and metal edge banding on the worksurface. Series 2™ overheads, lateral files and towers provide ample storage, while environmentally friendly Life® chairs provide ergonomic support. A conference room at BPG also features Life®.
