The Staubach Company

Aref & Associates worked closely with real estate magnate The Staubach Company to create a vibrant and modern work environment for the company’s Los Angeles location. Going into the project, Staubach had clear goals in mind, including: clean architectural lines; timeless design; private yet open offices; collaborative areas; mobile workspaces with technology support; and ergonomic solutions. In order to address a wide range of needs, Staubach chose the Knoll AutoStrada® system, whose versatility suited both the functional requirements of the workplace and, at the same time, the design objectives of the architects. With AutoStrada, Staubach was able to integrate high-performance capabilities with a modern aesthetic.

Private offices at Staubach are incorporated into the open plan. Taking advantage of the versatile nature of the AutoStrada system, Aref & Associates attached AS-3 wall-based applications—which include freestanding desks and tables and wall-attached storage, usually reserved for the private office—to drywall dividers on the open floor. This unique treatment combines AutoStrada AS-1 workstations with Dividends® panels to create an open, team-oriented work environment. Life® chairs are used for ergonomic support, with KnollStudio® Ricchio side chairs for guests. Pfister lounge seating adorns the reception area. All KnollStudio seating is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®.
