Two Knoll Projects Receive IIDA 2013 Healthcare Interior Design Awards

Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children and the Everett Clinic – Smokey Point Medical Center Received Honorable Mentions

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) honors two Knoll Healthcare installations with 2013 Healthcare Interior Design Awards. The Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham, Alabama and the Everett Clinic – Smokey Point Medical Center in Marysville, Washington both received honorable mentions in the annual interior design competition.

The Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children, which opening in August 2012, is dedicated solely to the treatment of children. The facility features Generation by Knoll® ergonomic seating, D'Urso Swivel Chairs in the lobby and Gigi® Side Chairs in patient rooms, was awarded an honorable mention in the hospital design category.

Everett Clinic – Smokey Point Medical Center received an honorable mention in the ambulatory care center category. The clinic, which opened in September of 2012, features Antenna® Workspaces and MultiGeneration by Knoll® stacking chairs in registration areas.

The awards recognize winning design projects completed between January 1, 2011 and March 21, 2013. Submissions are judged by a panel of design professionals for suitability of design to the project challenge, originality of the design solution and the successful integration of interior finishes and furnishings.
