Introducing Well Suited, a collection of textured textiles celebrating a modern expression of classic menswear. This multi-disciplined collection includes four upholsteries, a wide width drapery and two high-performance wallcoverings.
Also launching is the first Capsule Collection of three fashion forward Knoll Luxe upholsteries by Creative Director, Dorothy Cosonas.
KnollTextiles was born of Florence Knoll’s innovative adaptation of men’s suiting for use as modern upholstery on Knoll furniture. Classic textures from natural materials are in the company’s DNA. Well Suited honors Knoll's legacy while moving the design language ahead with a collection inspired by today’s more daring and casual men’s attire.
The Well Suited Collection is about materiality and textures in forward-thinking color combinations that will be the modern classics of tomorrow.
Dapper speaks to the ongoing trend of chunky textured upholsteries. An artisanal spinning process blends up to 6 unique colors of wool fiber to create the multidimensional and heathered yarns used in both the warp and weft directions. From sheep to loom, Dapper is 100% USA made.
Fancy Twill is a tailored textile with a smooth appearance. It has an oversized version of the diagonal rib pattern characteristic of a twill weave. Woven as a two colored twill on a jacquard loom with a content of mostly wool and cotton, Fancy Twill feels and wears like high-end suiting fabric but without compromising its high performance of 100,000 double rubs.
Attire has a richness of color that is rarely found in a budget friendly upholstery. The wool content gives Attire a soft, dry sophisticated hand. The combination of aesthetics and high durability combined with a stain resistant finish at KnollTextiles pricing makes Attire a smart choice for any interior.
Utmost II is a true multi-purpose velvet approved for use as upholstery, drapery and wrapped panels. Woven with Trevira, Utmost is permanently flame retardant.
LUXE Doyenne is a natural beauty woven with alpaca yarn in an exciting palette. The soft, luxurious hand and tactile quality of Doyenne is due to the Alpaca yarn on the surface of the fabric. The subtle heathered weave structure gives Doyenne right a hint of allover movement and texture.
LUXE Chic offers classic style and dimension with a twist. Chic incorporates a custom dyed fine cotton warp that is woven with a fancy twist wool, alpaca and mohair boucle yarn in the weft. This combination of yarn creates a plush and inviting hand.
LUXE Bella is all about surface interest and dimension. This high durability, high pile velvet is intentionally crushed to create an allover textural effect where no two yards are exactly alike.
Phantom is a classic drapery woven at 108 inches wide. The striated effect within the weave structure runs up the roll in the warp direction and on the face of the fabric. A more solid look is on the back. A wash and heat set finish create an almost unexpected soft hand and easy drape.
Phantom passes NFPA701 without any FR additives. Acoustically absorbent; it achieved 0.60 NRC rating at 100% fullness.
Silhouette is a non-woven wallcovering created by using a needle felt construction. The combination of contents gives Silhouette a natural heathered appearance. Woven at 66 inches wide and without any back coating, Silhouette passes for use as direct glue wallcovering and wrapped panel. Silhouette is tackable and acoustically neutral with an NRC difference of 0.00.
Bespoke Wall is our first made-to-measure digitally printed Type II vinyl wallcovering. It features a non-repeating multi color ombre pattern that is custom printed to meet the specifications of each project. The ground cloth has a subtle texture embossed.
