Plainfield High School

When Plainfield High School, located in northeastern Connecticut, constructed a brand new facility to house 734 students and 57 teachers, decision makers sought to furnish the space with products that accommodated traditional classroom needs but also met the technological demands of today’s schools. Jeter, Cook & Jepson Architects, Inc., working with Plainfield High, selected Knoll products that suited those needs, and with them, created a practical and flexible learning environment. From classrooms and labs to administrative offices, Knoll products support educators and their students by laying a sturdy yet adaptable foundation for learning.

The collaborative Guidance area incorporates a Dividends® desk and Upstart® tables with Soho side chairs. In the Chemistry labs, RPM® stools sit at the appropriate height for experiments or other laboratory exercises. Classrooms are outfitted with RPM chairs, Dividends desks and Upstart® tables, providing the considerable worksurface area teachers need for classroom presentations. Bebop carts under and beside the desks conveniently and discreetly house CPU’s and other materials. The Guidance counselors’ offices feature Dividends desks and overheads, Life™ chairs and Calibre® storage with Soho side chairs.
